Police Minister Jelta Wong has responded directly to ACT NOW’s call for him to confirm the cancellation of all SABL leases and put an end to the police intimidation and harassment of customary landowners. 

In today's Post Courier newspaper, Mr Wong has said, 

“I will ensure this Government decision on SABLs is supported and that no members of the Police force should be interfering and intimidating affected landowners in SABL areas.

“There should be no members of the Police Force operating as security guards for purported developers within SABL areas”

This is an important step forward in the fight for justice for communities affected by the SABL grab.
