Goodbye April 2012, we shall miss you- there will never be another April 2012 (thank goodness)!
Take a deep breath now Papua New Guinea…nine months is a long time to be lugging around a weight that seems to grow ever heavier with each passing day. Nine months since we somehow, whether we like it or not conceived the O’Namah government, that has been our burden to bear. Only we can change this burden come June 23rd and hopefully the next government we bear is a lighter, more compliant burden then this current one.
The Psycho Narcissistic Ringmaster (Speaker, Jeffery Nape) has made his presence felt at the circus and he wants ULTIMATE and TOTAL control! Whoever questions his power and dominion will get a kick in the-you-know-where!
Despite the mass public protest against the vote to delay the 2012 National Elections and the Judicial Conduct Act (JCA) AND the assurance from the Prime Minister that he would repeal the JCA, the speaker (with the support from the Sandaun Sniper) straight out refused to entertain the instructions to rescind the motion to defer elections.
Meanwhile the nation holds its breath in anticipation.
So here it is, as it stands today (Monday the 30th of April 2012)…The 2012 National Elections are going ahead as scheduled (apparently).
The Courts have ordered an injunction on the Judicial Conduct Act (2012) being implemented. Let’s hope that this has been sealed airtight and there are no loopholes that ‘certain’ people can exploit.
The Commission of Inquiry into the Special Purpose Agriculture and Business Leases (SABLs) has been completed (YAYYY!) however the Commission is waiting further funding (sound familiar?) in order to compile and release the findings…meanwhile, we the people of Papua New Guinea have been kept waiting over a year now to be able to reclaim OUR stolen land!
We remain hopeful, as long as there is a tomorrow…
